Hey, did I tell you how terrified I was of stamping? I was! I could never direct stamp onto any of my projects. I would always mess up and waste a lot of my products! So to play it safe, I’d stamp on a separate piece of cardstock or use printed sentiments.
On my first trip to India in December 2016, I got to shop at Die Cuts and More and the talented Mansi Gupta Sharma who owns it, sold me the Stampoholic tool.
For the first time ever, I got perfectly stamped images and sentiments and I could stamp directly onto my cards! It took my stamping to a whole new level.
Last night, I decided to step out of my safe craft zone and do a one layer card.
Using my favourite stamps and distress inks I created this beautiful one layer card.
The distress inks helped me to create the water colour background and I found the perfect round brush to create the splatters.
I used a sentiment stamp from Kaisercraft. I stamped a butterfly directly onto the card and on a separate sheet. I fussy cut the second butterfly and adhered it with foam tape over the first butterfly for dimension. (I was feeling very clever.)
I dried the card using my heat gun and (insert happy dance here) my card was finished. This really was a no fuss card.
Thank you for reading, until next time, learn new things and if you can be anything, choose to be a kind human being.
Yours in paper crafting,
The Girl with a Tape Runner
